The Zip drive was a popular removable storage device in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Developed by Iomega, it offered significantly higher storage capacity than traditional floppy disks, initially at 100MB and later expanding to 250MB and 750MB. Zip drives gained popularity as a convenient way to store and transport large files, such as images, videos, and software. However, with the rise of CD-RW drives and eventually USB flash drives, the Zip drive gradually fell out of favor and eventually became obsolete.
