Hover! was a capture-the-flag game Microsoft tucked into the Fun Stuff folder of the Windows 95 CD-ROM in August 1995, a demo of what the new multimedia PC could do. You drove a red hovercraft through a castle, a futuristic city or a sewer, grabbing the blue team's flags before they grabbed yours and caroming off the walls like a bumper car. Orbs scattered around the maze handed out springs, walls and a cloak. In 2013 a fan, Dan Church, pitched Microsoft a WebGL remake for Internet Explorer 11, and it got made.
